Yeah a friend gifted this to me and.....after the first level I wanted to puke all over,don't play this,PLEASE!

Go to your library, find Bat Rats, right click it, select Properties, then Verify Game Cache Integrity or something like that. Should fix it. If not delete system32.

Also, you paid $0.50 for a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.

I had this same issue running it on Win 7 64-bit. I fixed it by adding the game to my DEP list.
