Motorhead expansion?
So it is April of 2016 and we hven't heard anything about the motorhead expansion since mid 2015. Obviously this is quite troubling considering the fact that this expansion looks amazing. Has the expansion been pushed back due to techincal reasons or other factors such as Lemmy's death? Is there any chance that we are going to get this expansion before the end of the year? Thanks for any insight.

why should that be troubling at all? They released some free DLC before and have now been and still are working on local coop because many players requested it. Additionally (atleast i asume) they aren't a really big developement team with a huge budget.
Imho a big expansion after only a year is pretty impressive.

can't find where but one of the devs said the motorhead-DLC is planned to be released this year and there'll be more information soon-ish (what ever that means).

That is PR speak for we have no idea when this is going to be finished and we have no plans on telling you anything. That is why I found the year of absolute silence regarding the topic troubling.

"Additionally (atleast i asume) they aren't a really big developement team with a huge budget." On their website Haemimont games is credited for Tropico 3-5, Omerta, Victor Vran, and several others. In other words not a small company.

Haemimont games is made of about 50 people (designers, programmers and artists).
Compare that to a company like Blizzard, who have about 5000 people..

Haemimont is a small company.

We're working hard on the Motorhead expansion, for now all we can say is that it will be released this year. More details will follow as soon as we can commit to a release date.

For a video game developer 50 people is enormous. Keep in mind blizzard has WOW,Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Hero's of the storm, Starcraft 2, and Overwatch currently in development. Haemoint has just Victor Vran. Also companies like Ea, ubisoft, Blizzard, etc. are the absolute biggest a game company gets.

May this expansion add any other playable character?

A female charact woudl be nice if it could be added to the vanilla campaign too. Maybe a female model ("Victoria Vran", even if it doesn´t change text or dialogues at all and just jsut aesthetics) female players as my gf are kinda pissed, and anyway, it would be just an aesthetical model addition. - It could even be done as just an outfit.

Blizzard = Electronics Arts
sort of like how everything = Disney

Don't forget that they are still working on the XboxOne version of Tropico 5 at the moment.

and who knows what else. most gaming companies don't just have one or two projects in the works, but a variety of test projects as well as back end work on their systems

Great news. I'm really looking forward to it. A sequel would also be nice...
I am glad to hear an expansion is on track for this year.

I too believe it would be a nice feature if you were able to add a female avatar option. My girlfriend is an avid fan of isometric action RPGs going back to Diablo and while it isn't ruining her enjoyment, it would be nice if there was a female avatar option. The vast majority of titles in the genre - Diablo titles, Torchlight titles, Grim Dawn, and many more - , especially those with multiplayer functionality, offer the ability to play as a female. Adding such a feature to Victor Vran would only revitalize playert interest, especialy along side an expansion launch! Thank you.

I realy don't think that it is worth making a whole new character, completly re-voiceacting the entire game, and waisting a metric ton of time remodling every atack animation. Especialy considering what could be done to the gameplay with all of that time investment.

actually, if they just put boobs onto VV and call it a female character, I would actually like that a lot haha. same face and all

it would probably be accurate as to the people that use it
