Does anyone know how to get the game running in windowed mode?

I love the art style of this game. It better comes with steam trading cards :)

The part with scissors feels very random, can't get a handle of it, can someone please tell how get through that part ? Othervise it's like 10 minutes of gameplay :D

I get this error when I start the game up, I checked the game's folder and the file is in fact in there so I'm a little stumped.
