Controller with button triggers - Cant do puzzles

Anybody figure out a solution for people with controllers but don't have Analog triggers that sense how far you pull them back.
It's pretty annoying to have to stop and change my settings back to keyboard, then figure out the puzzle - only to have to change my settings back to use a controller again.

Senesitive trigger puzzles are never really too good in any game. I think they should have put it ont he analog sticks.

Same problem here and don't see any sensible solution for the matter.
