Game freezes for 10+ seconds while scoping/peeking

The title says it all. Everytime when I peek under a door or scope with a particular weapon, the game freezes for at least 10-20 seconds. This is extremely annoying if you do it accidentally in mid-combat. I actually did some research on this but couldn't find any answers.

Specs:
i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA)
16 GB RAM
Windows 10 (64-bit)

Has anyone here experienced these weird freezes too? If so, how can I fix it? The game itself runs very smoothly, though.

Edit. This shìt really gets on my nerves. I launch the game, everything works fine. I close the game to play another videogame. Get bored, play Conviction again. Now it constantly freezes when zooming with weapons, looking under doors, or using camera gadges. I also noticed the increase of level load times.

The only way to temporary solve this problem is to restart the PC, which is just fùcking weird to me, because that has nothing to do with the game.

Edit 2. Deleted and reinstalled all my Nvidia Geforce programs and updated them to the latest drivers. I've gotten no issues since then. This seems to be the only solution.

Reinstall or update NVIDIA drivers. "Perform a clean installation" should fix it.
