FIXED BUG: Attempting to download this game gives nothing

FIX: I just waited 48 hours and they happen to have fixed the problem now which is great!

When I install this game it just creates an empty directory, it also grabs the wrong art and when verifying says it's 100% verified.

I just bought this and I have the exact same issue

I created an exclusion for all files under programfilesx76/steam that should cover it.

I also disabled all antivirus and firewall and get the same problem as above.

Disappointing that they don't test their installs before putting them up. I have well over 50 games as I have been a long time steam user and supporter.

AFAIK it was only published in USA by Atari, it's a French-Canadian game by Particle Systems primarily :) published by Infogrames.

The game has just received an update for me, it's now downloading 1.6Gb of content so that should be this bug fixed soon.

Hi guys Yup all working now Thanks Steam - Now I need to buy a controller. It's been many yearss since I played the original and now I remember the physics were awesome. Anybody recommend a controller for this game.

This game guys is well worth the money for a simulator.

Final point - Russian is very annoying in game

@MiracleWorker, I'd reccomend something old and simple. A generic 2 or 3 axis controller with 4-8 buttons max as the game can only handle old generic joysticks, it was primarily designed for keyboard AFAIK.

Maybe someone has the complete keyboard configuration.
I can nowhere find the keyboard assignment for this game.

I am thinking about buying second part. Is this good idea? I never played part 2.

If you mean the third game IWar 2 Edge of Chaos, then yes that's an excellent game and a great piece of storytelling that requires much less work to run :D

Ok at next weekend deal for part 2 i will buy it :-)
But i love the athmosphere of first part. I had great ours of playing this game in the 90ties.
What i want to tell is that it is worth the work to get it run well.

I cant tell how happy i am to find this game on steam.
Years and years i missed this game. My old CD got broken and after this i never played again for nearly a decade.

Edit: done!!
One thing could make this event more perfect for me..
A possibility to higher the game resolution or a way to start the game in a window.
