I play on the TV so not a big problem for me, but it seems to me that the game only detects the available resolutions of the #1 display, disregarding others.
The numbering of displays should not be used to detect resolution - as users can change their *primary* display regardless of what the numbering of the display is. For instance I change constantly between my TV and Monitor as primary display.
Hope the developers can have a look at this.
Editing config.ini as suggested solved the issue (thanks sprsclr) ... but I hope it can be fixed by developers.
Good you were able to fix it - and I really wish Windows one day will allow us to change the numberings on the display devices, at the moment it seems random.
She has two screens (#2-Primary) 1920x1080, (#1) 1600x900
The game would only allow up to 1600x900.
Editing config.ini didn't work, it kept reverting to 640x480.
I had to fix her screen numbering in both windows and catalyst control center.
Windows was easy;
- Swap dvi connectors
- Disable second monitor
- Enabled second monitor
CCC was a bit more work;
- Disable second monitor
- Unplug its dvi connector (need to do this or the main screen stays as #2)
- Plug the dvi back in
- Enable second monitor
- Change resolutions of monitors because they are now backwards
In the end her two screens where (#1-Primary) 1920x1080, (#2) 1600x900
Game is poorly coded, it looks at the first screen rather then the primary one.
Sadly it not the only one like this, why do so many programs ignore the fact multi-monitors exist -_-
