Hi, and welcome to the SpyParty Steam Forums!

SpyParty has been in development for a really really really long time, and I'm very proud of how it's coming out, but there's still a lot more work to do to make it perfect! We're a small team, so we count on the community for helping to answer questions and provide help, and of course to report bugs and give suggestions.

Some hopefully helpful links and FAQs:

• I don't own SpyParty, but I have questions! Go here if you don't own the game but want to ask questions before you buy it, or are just curious about some aspect of the game.
  
  
• Is there a Discord for SpyParty?[discord.gg] Yes, you just moused over it! http://discord.gg.spyparty Ask for the "Spy role" if you own the game!
  
  
• I bought SpyParty at http://www.spyparty.com or at PAX, will I get it on Steam? Yes, when SpyParty releases on Steam you'll have a way to activate it in your Steam library, and you'll get all the updates as usual during development. I don't actually have this working yet, but definitely will by the time it's launched on Steam, and in fact I'm going to try to have it working relatively soon so you existing players can help me test the Steam version!
  
  
• What's the relationship between these Steam Discussion forums and the existing private beta forums? The private beta forums at http://www.spyparty.com are the central hub for discussing the game and have been for years, and probably will continue to be, simply because it's a tight knit community of elite players who know the game inside and out. If you are a Steam player, you'll have a way of activating an account on the private beta forums as well, and the community there is totally welcoming to newcomers who want to go deep. We'll do our best to answer questions and address here, of course, but again, we're a tiny team so things take time and we've got to be careful about priorities. I'm hoping to make the private beta forums read-only-public so everybody can benefit from the years of knowledge there, and so they can get a preview of how great the community is.
  
  
• How to report bugs and suggestions? I'm still trying to figure this one out. Currently, the private beta forums are the best way to do this, but I'm guessing we'll have to create a bugs subforum here as well to make things easier for people.
  
  
• Wasn't there a MacOS X port listed on the store page? Where'd it go? Yes, you're not imagining it. I had to take it off because I hit a few technical snags standing in the way of getting it to the quality I want, so I'm going to have to finish it up after SEA launch. In the meantime, the non-Steam MacOS version on http://spyparty.com will continue to work great, so if you're on MacOS and can't wait, you can get it there and play now, and then you can link it to your SteamID here when it's ready. Sorry about this, I tried really hard but I've got to hit pause on it for a while because there are other bigger fires to put out first.
  
  
• The Official SpyParty FAQ[www.spyparty.com] There are a lot more questions answered on the blog, although I probably need to update that page a bit.

I'll occasionally update this mini-FAQ, and don't hesitate to ask questions if you have them. And don't hesitate to answer questions if you know the answers, we need all the help we can get!

Hey all, sorry I'm kinda late in getting more info here!

Yes, you will be able to link your spyparty.com and steam accounts soon, I wanted it to be working for today but didn't make it. Hopefully it'll just be a few days away.

And yes, the game will pick up your steam name while you're in the lobby, that's another thing that got dropped, but will come in soon.

Is there any update on if we will be able to access the spyparty.com forum soon? Purchased the game on Steam and loving it, but kind of bummed I bought it on the 'wrong' website to access that stuff.

I know checker plans to make the forum at least read only to public so all players can benefit from the forum, but I’m unsure on what the timeline for that is.
