Install issues..

first time i ran the game moments after download everything was fine. went to first training mission and flew for a few moments. now i am getting a system dump error and apparently the game is having trouble finding the file

Dump Information = "Can't load "d:\steam\steamapps\common\f-22 lightning 3\l3.map""

i am confused. multiple file deletes and re-downloads and re-installs arent helping. the file isnt there.

Enter in the Game Directory
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\F-22 Lightning 3" (in my case)

Open: L3.ini using a Text Editor
And Replace:

GAME_FULLSCREEN 1
GAME_RESOLUTION 640
MENU_FULLSCREEN 1

For:

GAME_FULLSCREEN 0
GAME_RESOLUTION 1024
MENU_FULLSCREEN 0

That worked for me

Thanks for the comment. I actually ended up creating another steam app directory on an external harddrive and seemed to work fine then.

I'm using nGlide[www.zeus-software.com] 1.05 to emulate a 3DFX Voodoo card (best they had back then), and I changed my L3.ini to:

GAME_FULLSCREEN 1
GAME_RESOLUTION 1024
MENU_FULLSCREEN 0

and that worked. I'll try and see if I can get better resolutions out of it etc, we'll see.

For me the game working only with dgVoodoo 2.
Without that I have a black screen in game, and got the same error message.
