Mod Install?
I downloaded the Mod (Clone Wars 4.0). Went to steamapps, to EAW, to corruption, created a folder named Mod, with that created a folder name Clone Wars, dragged the download in to the folder. Set sweaw MODPATH=Mods\Clone Wars in launch options. Launched the game but it was the reg version. Any help? a step i missed or something.

The folder you have to created needs to be named "Mods".
And what exactly did you dragged into the Mods folder from the download?

"corruption/ Mods/ Clone Wars/ Data"
That is a legit folder structure for example

Perhaps that the folder is named "Mod" and not "Mods". You can either rename the folder to "Mods" or change the string to "Mod"

Though, what did you drag into the folder? What should be located in a mod folder is a data folder - it sounds like you may have downloaded it, created a "Clone Wars" folder and then dumped the already made Clone Wars folder that came in the download into it. Where you should just drag the premade folder into your "Mods" directory.

*EDIT* On the same token, you could also modify the string for "sweaw MODPATH=Mod/Clone Wars/Clone Wars" though, for the sake of ease and efficency you should probably only have one "Clone Wars" folder.

You actually do not have to name it mods, just if your using Retail and using mod shortcuts... the modpathing is already set up for a folder named "Mods". However, it works regardless of the name you give the folder, as you have already told the game you are looking for MODDED files as in "MODPATH" the path itself doesn't matter as long as you lead it to a mod. I could name the folder "A" and use a string of "sweaw MODPATH=A/RaW" for example.

It's okay buddy, We know you are smart. No need to repeat obvious stuff ten times ;)

I never repeated myself at all. And your use of the word *need* suggested you did not know. Perhaps it's easiest to tell people to just go ahead and name it "Mods" but telling them that they *need* to sends the wrong message, because they don't actually have to. And my reply was more for educating OP and anyone else that read this thread.

It goes Star Wars Empire at War>corruption>Mod>Clone Wars, which contains the download RAR file(882MB) that i got from the site which i dragged in to the Clone Wars file.

sweaw MODPATH=Mod\Clone Wars Is what is currently in my Launch Options.

I renamed the file but it did nothing so im guessing i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somewhere. First time adding a mod so i was bound to ♥♥♥♥ up lol

Yeah, what is included in the download is:

Mods/star_wars_clone_wars_iV/data

What you need to do is only have that "Data" folder in your Mod/Clone Wars folder.

So, instead of dragging the entire download, open up the mods folder you now have in your Clone Wars folder, then the star_wars_clone_wars_iV folder and then cut the data folder, go back into "Clone Wars" and paste it. When you install mods, they all need to be assorted in a folder (in your case Mod) inside their own folder (in your case Clone Wars) and have their own data folders inside that directory.

I just need some clarafication on what to do (thank you for all support thus far btw)

You said"open up the mods folder you now have in your Clone Wars folder"

Now currently to get to my Clone War folder, i first must first open my Mod folder. So should I have another Mod folder within the Clone war folder?

The download file I dragged into my Clone Wars Folder, is what you are refering to when you said "cut the data folder" And then i should paste it in Clone wars file that already exist (which is where the download file already is currently within the Clone Wars file) or is that the data file should have its own folder with the Clone Wars folder i have created?

Okay, perhaps I should ask this: when you open up your Clone Wars Folder, what is in there? Your initial post said that you dragged what was downloaded in there, when what is downloaded is a "Mods" folder that has other folders within.

The file that contains the Clone Wars 4.0 Mod. It says its RAR File 882MB. Now that I look at it again perhaps because the file is currently named Mods that may be the issue perhaps?

Oh... so you mean you just put the .rar file in the folder? No, you need to unpack it and then extract the files. Do you not have Winrar? A .rar file is a compressed archive file, bascially like a .zip - it allows for files to be compressed and take up less space while in the archive. Makes for faster downloads, which is why it's so useful - also good for file transfers between pc's and the like. So, the mod's files are contained in the .rar file yes, but the .rar is not a useable file. It's merely for packing purposes, to use the files within you need an extraction software (just download WinRar), and then all it is is basically drag and drop.

So download WinRar, unpack the .rar file. And drag and drop into the Clone Wars folder, were the .rar file is currently resisiding?

This( sweaw MODPATH=Mod\Clone Wars) would still be the vaild string correct?

Yes, but as I said. Inside the .rar will be the setup: Mods/star_wars_clone_wars_iV/data, you need to extract the data folder into your Clone Wars folder and nothing else.
