What's the difference between the two clone wars mods?

I got empire at war recently and installed the clone wars mod 4.0 and I enjoy playing it, but one day I searched YouTube for a play through of a galactic conquest and I clicked on a video and it was a totally different mod from what I had. (Republic at war)

So what's the difference?

Republic at war is alot harder.

And clone wars each individual person is a unit and can fire on their own.

One is more challenging and rewarding tbh

republic at war is much more stable. I find clone wars mods to be fun but lags hard, even with a fantastic computer. republic at war is mainly based off the movies (content and graphics wise) and clone wars is based off the TV show (Both the 2003 one and 3D one). republic at war is challenging if you are playing it for the first time but it becomes managable with time and experience.
