I wish someone could fix this game.

This game is broken in so many ways, I just wish some modder/s could help everyone who owns this game and is experiencing problems with it by creating a mod that makes all the main game breaking bugs go away. I have been experiencing so many bugs that it's not even funny. At first I couldn't change costumes without the game closing because it stopped responding, then the cloth and fabric physics just went completely bonkers and stopped working, therefore the cloth/fabric on each costumes just froze and stuck out from the comstume. I managed to fix the cloth and fabric physiscs so the cloth/fabric started to move again when you ran or jumped etc. So then I wanted to try and fix the costume change crash bug, I read somewhere that you need to download a patch of the internet which is supposed to remove all game breaking bugs, I downloaded the required patch and installed it, so when I try to launch the game now, it doesn't work. The little launcher comes up, you know the one with the options and stuff, and when I press "Play", the launcher closes down and I'm expecting the game to start playing, but no, the game doesn't start, I can see that Steam says that I'm just "Online" and not playing a game, so I try to play the game again, and I press the "Play" button on Steam, the launcher comes up, I press the "Play" button on the launcher, and the launcher closes and the game won't start. Does anyone maybe know how to fix these game breaking bugs? I'm pretty desperate right now for a fix for this game. I would be very grateful if someone knew of a patch or some way to fix this game.

Which fix are you referring to? patch 1.2? Steam games should update automatically, but if you install the patch yourself, the client might not recognise the game and you'll have to reinstall afaik.

Ah ok, thank you for letting me know of that. I figured out that my game was already updated with the 1.2 patch, but I installed it manually myself again, and the client didn't recognise the game. But there were still major bugs even though the game was updated to the 1.2 patch, like the costume change crash bug which didn't seem to go away. Everytime I tried to change costumes, the game crashed unexpectedly.

so inability to change outfits that are non-essential to play through the game = gamebreaking bugs?

Had the game on DVD but noticing so many issues with the steam version. Have no sound except voice on the final mission. Plus numerous visual issues that were not in the DVD version.
