Xbox Controller not working

For reasons I have to start this game with the option 'run with graphics processor' which seems to circumvent the launcher from starting, preventing me to switch my controls to my controller.

I've adjusted the part about using mouse and keyboard in the config.xml file to FALSE as I've read this would solve the problem, though nothing's reacting anymore now.

My controller works in every other situation so this can't be the problem, I simply don't know anymore what I should do to make this work.

I'd hate to use K&M for this game, anyone know a solution?

how you solved the problem? i have set xbox controler on teh start and nothing work on teh game.
