For the whole GFWL thing, if you have an xbox account, you can sign in, and it will keep your save data, and even get you some xbox achievements, if you care about that sort of thing. Beyond that, the game isn't half bad; it's really just the platforming that sucks, unfortunately, a significant chunk of the game is platforming. There was only one level, near the end on Behpour, where it actually was a challenge for me though. Overall, I would reccommend, especially for fans of The Clone Wars.
