No longer dead, but is it worth it?

I have had this on my wishlist for years. It was one of those games I thought had crazy potential, but then it went silent for years after. It was by all means dead. Now I see that the Devs are back, and while that's all well and good is it worth taking the risk and snagging the game as is?...

Other games with spell editors?

I've seen that Noita sorta does, but are there any games with near as extensive a spell editing system as this (preferably multiplayer)? I love the idea of being in a sandbox environment with other players creating/coding spells and trying them out on one another....
