General impressions from an unskilled player
I've played around 3 hours of this game, I've beaten the forest Jotun, collected the storm, Ymir, and, uh, dwarf-area runes (but haven't fought any of the Jotuns), and died a lot in the fire area. I noticed in another thread that the devs consider the fire area to be the last area, but I'm already dreading having to go back there again.

What's keeping me from really enjoying is the amount of dying I'm doing. I know, I know, "Get better," "games shouldn't be dumbed down," etc. etc. But I only have a limited amount of time and a limited amount of patience, so a game where I'm constantly retreading the same paths just isn't fun for me.

Some notes on things that would make the game more enjoyable for me:

- Let Mimir heal you (or at least restore the god powers) every time you step on his rune
- Map marker! Show me where I am!
- Lower damage from enemies
- Healing when returning to Ginungagapp (although I saw in one thread that this was being considered in general)
- faster walking speed (or maybe some sort of run button when not in battle)

Now, I can already see some people saying that it would unbalance the game, make it too easy, blablabla. That's why what I would actually like to see most is an easy mode. Really, best of both worlds.

I really want to like this game, but right now I'm kind of forcing my way through, and the idea of having to go into the fire level and redo all the boulder throwing and maze navigating... ugh. The tree level was almost as bad with the bird swooping down on you, but at least I had more of an idea when the bird would swoop. Plus, getting reset still left all the paths I opened open, while in the fire level I have to redo everything.

I do like Thora, and her voice actress is great! I love the way the Norse mythology is woven in and some of the art is beautiful. But... when dodging leaves me just inside the area of attack, and the enemies take off such huge chunks of my lifebar.... it just means death and doing everything over and over and over and over.

Which is no fun, and means I can't recommend the game to others. :(

Thank you for the feedback! There is no plan to include an easy mode at the moment but if you want I can give you some tips that will make the game easier:

1. Easiest order is nature->cave->winter->storm->fire

2. Make sure you get all the apple. They'll be hidden on the map until you beat the region bpss. If miss one make sure to come back after the boss.

3. Keep the fire boulder region for the end (the other fire level is relatively easy).

4. For the boulder region, they'll never hit you if you are moving. Make sure to use this to avoid some encounters and try to hit them from far away using their own boulders. Be careful of shadow showing where meteors will fall.

5. For bosses, the strongest combo is using the hammer and speed power at the same time. You get those powers in the winter levels, the cloud level and the marsh fire level.

If all this fail or if you really want an easy mode, send me you save file at alexmm@gmail.com and I'll send it back with infinite godpowers!
