Question About Memberships

Looking at the website there are various pledge levels for early access.

On the Steam store page there is no mention of these. Do you get the equivalent of one of the pledge levels, or nothing other than early access?

I'd imagine you'd get the 39.99 pledge equivalent but I don't know. I'm honestly kind of surprised it's for sale already......since last I knew NDA was still up and way they talked Steam was coming but not this soon..

We'll be adding in information on this to the main page shortly. But the basic details are:

- Lifetime Gold Membership. This provides a number of account perks such as additional inventory, bank, shared bank, and character slots.
- 1 Day Headstart at Launch.
- 1 Repop Token at Launch. This allows you to select an item of your choosing from a list of items. This is similar to a collector's box item except that you can pick the one you want.
- Name Reservation at launch.
- Instant Alpha Access

The NDA was also lifted this morning.

Thanks, I suspected this was the case but wanted to check. Will probably buy once Christmas is out of the way as it certainly looks interesting

I was planning on getting the $100 platinum package, will this be available on steam in the future?

I'd too take the $100 platinum package but certainly not off the bat, more like couple months down the road playing the game, I wonder if there are/will be upgrade options available?

@Wanderinlost: I'm not sure if it will be available on Steam or not as typically Steam is lower cost options. It is available on our web site though: https://therepopulation.com/crowdfunding

@Xeevis: You can bump up pledges after backing through the same link as above. So for example you could buy now here. And then if later you decide you wanted to upgrade you can pay the price difference to receive the updated membership.

@J.C. Smith Sounds good. BTW Are these current memberships something that will stick with the game in long-term? I'm ok if you introduce more memberships or update current, but I'm a bit afraid that current ones will be relevant only up until launch and then new different set of memberships will appear. So lets say 1 year after launch, will people still be able to purchase Gold membership and have same perks with those who purchase gold now? Thanks.

On your main site it appears you have no access to the current test unless you pledge $50 or more. Since Steam Early Access is UNDER $50, when do those people get access?
Kinda feel uneasy about this. I don't want to spend the $33.99 and then get told I have to wait until the next test phase.
Could you clarify?

@Wanderlust: In that case it would cost you $60 to bump up (difference between $100 and $40). Store credit hasn't gone into affect yet as there is currently no in-game store.

@Xeevis: They are permanent memberships. Post-launch there will still be the same memberships available for new players, though the extras will go away. So the tokens, headstart, or any other perks on higher level memberships would no longer be available once the game launches, but the membership would be.

@Jessika: Sorry for the confusion. Do you have a link to the image you are seeing as that is dated but I couldn't see it just now on the store. During Kickstarter there were different periods when testers were guaranteed access. But we eventually got all testers in early and currently any backer from Kickstarter or now from Early Access is in testing. You gain instant access at this point for any purchase.
