Guns firing in burst and then slowly or not at all

If you hold down the L mouse it fires, You get a big burst at first and the it fires about once a second. Sometimes I load the game and I get a little burst ad then nothing until I release and fire again. I can't fire again immediately but it seems like its 3-5 secs wait. Very annoying.

did you press the comma key ( , ) because it turns on sniping mode, also your guns use energy which can run out and needs time to recharge

Was about to say the same thing,The guns use Energy,they do run out so ya need to stop fireing for them to charge.

Even though we already have an answer, I will also add that energy weapons need time to recharge. I suspect that you JUST started the game, however this is a common mechanic in most space shooters/sims, not a bug. I bought the game yesterday myself, however I'm assuming that you will quickly find/buy modules that give you more energy/use less energy that will allow you to customize how long you are able to fire repeatedly. I could be wrong, but I think the "sniper module" mentioned prior to my comment is something you get later in the game, not something you start with.
