Make Luxor Mahjong running on Win 8

You can download the free trial game from http://www.mumbojumbo.com/game/LUXORMahjong/2096/111382320. On Install, do a custom install and deselect the options for GamesBar and Yahoo stuff.

After install look for the "Luxor Mahjong.exe". Possibly you will find it under C:\Program Files (x86)\Oberon Media SIDR\111382320\LUXORMahjong_MicrosoftVistaXP_EN_GEN_1-0-0.

Copy this exe in the SteamApp folder that is normaly C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Luxor Mahjong.

After this rename the current exe from "LUXOR - Mahjong.exe" to "LUXOR - Mahjong.org.exe" and rename the new "Luxor Mahjong.exe" into "LUXOR - Mahjong.exe". Now the start via steam should work.

After this you can deinstall the free trail game again.

I hoope this will work for you.

Possibly this will help for some others game from Mumbo Jumbo too.

Luxor Mahjong has been patched and will run on all newer machines, including Win7, 8 & 8.1.

Game launches - 8.1 - but all I get is a black screen.

EDIT: Nevermind. A little buggy at first, but launches and plays now.
