You may need to turn off the firewall or set your game to be allowed through the firewall:
To allow the game through your Firewall, if your Computer is protected by a Firewall. This can usually be done from the settings pane of your Firewall program, or by clicking allow on the prompt that appears when a Firewall blocks a connection. As an alternative, you can turn your firewall off completely, though this risks opening up your computer to malicious programs.
To do this on Windows, go to the Control Panel and click Windows Firewall, click the off radio button and click OK. You will need to allow the app through/switch off the firewall for each PC, individually.
I am familiar with setting a simple LAN, however in the game, where do I put my friend's IP address? I see "Global IP Address" in the game launcher, should my friend advertise his IP there? If so, when he makes a lobby how do I connect to him or have him connect to me?
Also, i see a lot of animations unfinished, do I have the latest version installed? Will the game be out in a month as a finished product or as early access?
Another thing, if I hook up an xbox one contoller via USB is the game gonna detect it automatically?
Lastly, how can I get rid of the black borders that show up when I play?
On a complete different note, do you know any good 2D fighting games with similar moves to SF (and this game) that can be played on PC via LAN or Multiplayer, specially games with animated sprites just like this game?
Thanks!

Play me whenever.

The game releases on July 7, 2015 as a somewhat finished product. What needs to be added is GGPO implementation.
Yes, you do have the latest version if you have the beta on Steam.
Black borders are unable to be gotten rid of.
The XBone controller should work as long as your computer recognizes it.
There are a ton of fighting games out for PC. Just google search for them.
Play me whenever.
As far as controllers are concerned I havent tested the xbone one yet but both the ps4 and logitech worked fine so I doubt you will have trouble with it.
You have the latest update currently, on launch though the game will have additional features which can be read about here: http://yatagarasu-ftg.com/update/release-date-announcement/ steam does the updating for you so as long as you allow steam to make the updates it should update for you when it is released.
That's what it looks like to me, plus one map still looks like a sketch and I still so gibirish (japanese I assume) popping up here and there. I unistalled the game and downloaded it again, but I don't think that solved anything.
I just double checked and all his crouching moves look unfinish, his image gets blurry when you do them (cr.lp , cr.mp, cr.lk. cr.mk)
Picked the beta, and things look better now.
