Get a refund while you still can.
It's the same game as Platinum, with a different UI and clouds added. Performance is still bad on larger cities and cars still look like black blocks from afar without messing with configs. The memory leak is still present, and the engine is only partially multi-core compatible, it only uses an extra 20% or so of your other cores, which was clearly enough to say "Look we support multi-core now!". If you own a previous Cities game, then buying this is a scam.

Do the gaming industry a favor and click on your user name in the upper right of Steam. Go to account details. Click on the store transactions tab. Find Cities XXL and request a refund. You will get it credited into your steam wallet.

Stand up for yourselves.

Also done. That was far more straight foward than I thought. Although, the money doesn't get credited to your bank account which is interesting . . .

It's running on a 4790K

4770* not that it makes a difference, still an astonishingly powerful CPU. Though I wouldnt bother - he seems to be dead set on his opinion that this game is all perfect, nothing wrong.

The horrible UI made me never touch the previous version.
It's good to see it's now better, but paying 50% (if i was going to buy in the next 3 hours) for it is completely out of my plans.

i dont see how you can say performance is still bad on larger cities when the only video out there showing any real detail clearly shows the game running nicely on multicore. and no video out there show the game having any memory leak...

It doesnt say that I can get a refund.
Melt Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:12pm
You had to do it during the pre-order period. People were getting full refunds even 5 minutes before release. If you have played less than 10 minutes, send an e-mail to customer support and tell them the game crashes instantly when you try to load it and you will get a refund 100% of the time.

What if I own it, but have yet to even install it?
Melt Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:24pm
You should be able to get a refund then, you will need to contact support though.

Just tell them that you were scammed into thinking you were buying a new game but it turns out it was the same game with minor changes. And of course that you never installed or opened the game.

These people trying to defend this mess, seem more and more like paid shrills, or people that have to justify to themselves paying money for this, its really sad. This game series is a scam, and has proven to be time and time again, falling for it is just stupid given the warnings.
Kamun Feb 5, 2015 @ 4:31pm
I submitted a ticket asking for a refund. Wish me luck.
Grungebob Feb 5, 2015 @ 5:09pm
Anyone asking for refund because of this post is getting mislead. Quantum's record shows he hasn't played the game. This is a troll.
