- start the game and open Update on the main screen
- press install and navigate to the gt3 file & ok it.
- make sure you press play to make it load.
- done
By combining resources and effort you could achieve so much more and the community would not be forced to choose from different mods that do different things very well.
Should you decide to do something like this I would be interested in helping, although I have no experience I do have time and passion to invest, with your experience and expertise I could pick up quickly the process and hopefully help you to add even more great sound effects.
- Provide one packed .gt3 file for those who just want to use the simplicity of the updater, and provide the unpacked wav files for those who want to tinker more.
This way those of use who can use the tools can combine mods more easily and not risk crashes with more than one mod, and we can pick and choose the sounds we like the best.
Just a suggestion, I understand if modders want to keep their source files close to heart, this would be more like 'Open Source' modding :)
I don't think packing actually saves a lot of space, it's just a different (and unmodifiable) format.

In V2 I've added some new bullet zips which are in the experimental phase.
I was able to track down the two sound of grenades that are strange:
expl_gren_0.wav
expl_gren_1.wav
Problem with these are that 1. they are very loud, and seem to clip when played back, and 2. they are long so only the first 'woosh' is played in game. I think they sound strange but others might prefer it I don't know.
I will experiment with this and the tresk_sfx_mod to see what I prefer. I like some of the sounds of this, and the addition of some nice flare and fire sounds as well as nicer bullet zips is a big plus!
Yes that would be excellent. Alas, although I can do sound I havent a clue about recording vids and editing them. It's somthing I will have to learn. In the meantime I'd be hounoured if anyone reading this did a film with Small Arms Plus in.
As soon as you load the game, in the very top right corner (the VERY top right corner) is the version of the game you have. Click it. A box will pop up, and "install" should be one of the boxes you can click. Select it, and then you should navigate to your .gt3 file and install the mod.
