Tinertia
The difficulty spike is ridiculous!
Don't get me wrong I like to punish myself with hard games but when it comes with great controls.

Now, the controls are just fine here but when you combine it with the difficulty which comes after the 1st world the game becomes really hard and then you realize that the controls don't help either.

I really like the game that's why I tried again and again but it just doesn't give you the chance to become better by playing, you HAVE to be better from the start.

My explanation might not be the best but its really the first time I witness something like that.

Hey Deathsummer, if you're stuck on a level try watching a replay ( on the leaderboard ). It might give you some clues on executing the level.

I did, I also watched Dev speedruns but still...the execution is really difficult, at least for me

Which level are you stuck on?

World 2 I cannot remember the section. It doesn't matter, I just wish I could feel more comfortable with the controls that's all.

I can totally agree with the diffficuly, buts in all fairness its also why i added this game amongg my top Favy platformers. The precision of almost every move + jump have to be spot on andd executed correctly.. I've ragedd lots playing this game, :RR: due to my little weldon robot dying :Weldon: buts in the end, i love the challenge :engineercat:

I wouldn't have so much trouble with the difficulty if the control of the robot was..not better but different. The game is great tho I have to admit that.

Deathsummer, You playing with controller or keyboard mouse? I'd try switching it up, sometimes people are way better with one of the other.

Played both, I prefer controller tho.

Controller is so much better.

but i agree, the difficulty spike is insane at times.

If you have particular levels where you feel the diff-spike is crazy, let me know in this thread.

Personally I thought the difficulty was a good thing. I actually REALLY liked it, thought it was very well engineered. They make you master one concept, then throw a curve ball at you with a different variation of it. If one area was a bit unforgiving, It's been a while since I played but if I had to say some areas were a bit unforgiving, I'd say the fall away platforms definitely add allot of challenge, but even that wasn't terrible. The key is to take your time, realize why you're failing and adjust accordingly, can't let yourself get raged out.

I'm playing this one in VR, and I'm surely masochist regarding difficult games, but Tinertia is pushing me very very hard. I'm stuck days in a single checkpoint, the last one before the boss in the fourth world (an infinite climbing on falling or breakable walls, with deadly obstacles everywhere). I understand what I've to do, and I'm doing, but to perform a such long and flawless combo of super fast (and potentially fatal) moves is killing me, I'm here more time than the whole half game I beated yet, and it REALLY need an additional checkpoint at the end of the climb because the downhill just after is quite painful as well.

Even if highly deprecable for VR, I'm going to give a try to mouse + keyboard control scheme, at least for this checkpoint.

Hey Rafport, have you tried looking at a replay ( or friends replays ) in-game? When you open the leaderboard UI you can select any player and watch their run. This can help a lot.

The mouse+key in VR is even worst, I passed the level anyway after many many many tries with the pad.

To see users replay can be helpful, if your problem is to get a viable path, but mine (on that point) was the fact I can't reproduce consistently a so long combo of rockets with the right hand during the climbs with zero margins of mistakes and light speed, my thumb or my brain is not precise enough! Could be a my limit.

In fact now I'm at the end of the boss and I find that level so easy and basic, that checkpoint was 1000x harder than everything the game offered before.

I will take a pause with the game anyway, I pushed too hard on me for get the point done, the love/hate balance is a lot on the hate side :)
