Graphics and Performance Improvements:

Confirmed DX11 rendering for optimal performance.
Improved physics fidelity by upgrading to the high-quality physics contact engine.
Upgraded audio and textures to native resolution, optimized with crunch compression at 80%.
Increased shader quality, now adjustable in the graphics settings.
Re-enabled depth and stencil support for better visual effects.
Variable Rate Shading, improves performance overhead for lower end gpus, increases quality for higher end and future gpus when using High Quality or Highest.
Bloom, and Tone-Mapping, improves color quality game wide increasing the depth of light and darkness.
Final Art presentation of Deep Cuts, meaning 4k textures, lossless sound files and model upgrades.
Skeletal Input via SteamVR, with Index controllers or skeletal supported inputs you can move Elise' fingers individually.

PCVR Specific Fixes:

Fully integrated Addressable Content Catalogue, ensuring smooth loading and asset streaming.
Removed Oculus-specific code and overlays for seamless SteamVR compatibility.
Adjusted shaders specifically for Windows OS, resolving transparency and cutout issues.
Optimized XR pose handling to support Pimax and other headsets.
Fine-tuned video settings panel with PostFX, shadows, and more.
Allocated half of GPU VRAM specifically to textures, improving stability and visual fidelity.

Meta Quest 2, unable to get past the first screen

Hello, I'm trying to start the game up on a Meta Quest 2, and when I have to press the big white tick sign to confirm English in the beginning - no button would work. I tried both Steam Link and Virtual Desktop, and neither is able to proceed. I think it might be a binding issue, FNaF Help Wanted 2 had a similar issue on launch....

We have some exciting news that we can finally share with you!

Deep Cuts will be releasing on Steam on 1st May 2025!

You also have some overall gameplay and visual improvements coming with it. Read about them below!

PCVR version enhancements:

for an indie studio's first VR game this is quite good.

pros:

the soundtrack
guns feel nice to use
the levels have very good designs (my favorite was nuclear wedding)
gameplay in general is very nice
interesting story

cons
some visual errors (some of the props and enemies are floating)
i felt that the 2nd half of the ending wasn't as satisfying as it could've been

so if i had to give this game a rating id say a 9/10, its very good aside from a few issues, so if you have a VR headset id say this is a must have

crocodile boss fight

anyone know how to get past the crocodile boss fight? i complete the first 3 phases then we are in the mouth with a glowing uvala. i have tried shooting it, blowing it up, hitting it with no luck. nothing in the mouth really stands out.

We're excited to share some big updates as we get closer to launching the PCVR port of our game! The team has been working hard behind the scenes to deliver the best possible experience for PCVR players, and we've made great progress. Here's a quick rundown of the enhancements and fixes we've implemented so far:

We still have some stuff left to do, including steam backend, achievements, and all sorts of fun essential QoL features that PCVR players have come to expect.

The Duel.....

For the life of me, I can't figure out how I'm supposed to win (what I assume) is the final mission in Bastard Town.... If I try to shoot the first guy *BEFORE* he draws, my bullets can't hit him, and by the time he draws, he seems to shoot instantly.... What am I missing here?......

def not needed. vr we more need indicators, noises or subtle things, like i get im pressing the time slow button. also is that time slow limited. i prefer a recharging bar that you can upgrade when it co es to timeslow in vr. some might not but i dont like things feeling too sandboxy like most vr has been. blade and sorcery style arena fighters im looking at you.)...
