Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

Statistiche:
Can't even start a new game
I play this game for the first time but i can't create a new save at all. Everytime I try to start a new save. It says "This save file could not be loaded because the file has been corrupted or is an invalid save file." But I don't even have a game save of the game? Why?

I have the same issue
ever since they added workshop to Saints Row 4 they stuffed up the save file system and it won't register properly, they are looking into a fix unless this is a different problem altogether
So we bought a game which is unplayable
Same problem here, I am expecting a fix.
Someone has a update on the case?

EDIT: I've discovered a way to fix the problem. Everything else did not work for me.
But, this solution involve loosing all save data of SRIV. With this in mind, let's proceed:

1) Make sure that Steam Cloud is active and exit Steam.

2) Modify the content of ALL files inside Steam\userdata\SteamID\206420\remote. To do this, open one by one with notepad and save them with nothing inside, blank... With this, the files size will be 0 KB. The objective of this method is to call the Steam Cloud prompt, where it asks the user to upload the saves to the Cloud or download what the Cloud has. It is important that you DO NOT DELETE the files (otherwise, Steam Cloud will download them again). It is mandatory that you modify them to be different from the ones in the Cloud (0 KB will solve the issue).

3) Delete remotecache.vdf in Steam\userdata\SteamID\206420.

4) Start Steam and the "sync conflict" shall appear once you play the game. Do not click anything.

5) Go to Steam\userdata\SteamID\206420 and delete ALL files and remote folder, along with remotecache.vdf

6) Go back to the "sync conflict" window and click on "upload to Steam Cloud". The Steam will sync your empty 206420 directory. This means that all your files in the cloud will be deleted.

7) The game will start automatically. But, to stop Steam Cloud from creating more files inside the 206420 directory. You must press Alt + Tab and TURN OFF Steam Cloud for your game.

8) Go back to the game and exit it. You can use Task Manager to do this, but isn't necessary.

9) Exit Steam.

10) Delete the 206420 directory.

11) Open Steam and turn on Steam Cloud.

12) Exit Steam and delete 206420 directory again.

13) Open Steam once more.

With these steps, you can erase your SR IV savegames from Steam Cloud, enabling SRGOOH to proper start a new game.

Thank you very much, dude!
I have the same problem.I uninstall SRIV a few months ago because I had some problem with restarting Steam once. It says the same message as yours...I verify the integrity of the game files and everything is fine...
I thought the problem was the automatic save file that was still in my game....Turns out it's not that at all.
I hope they will fix this issue soon!

All i had to do was up to 3 and it worked
This was annoying the heck out of me and I figured out a way to vastly simplify step 2 here. Win10 comes with powershell, but if you don't have it it's a solid util and you should get it. If you run this in the remote directory mentioned above, it will zero the filesize of every file in there. do not do this anywhere but there. you have been warned. THIS WILL SET EVERY FILE IN THE PATH YOU RUN IT IN TO A ZERO SIZE: dir | New-Item -Force -Value ""
