Unable to play - screen res issues

I am unable to play as when I first got the game (yesterday), my screen res was messed up so it only shows the top left hand corner, and only enough to see 'New' so I can only access my options by pressing O and enter, but from there on I cannot do anything else to change the screen res, any ideas how to fix this problem that I have?

I've tried -nofbo -nomsaa and all of that stuff but nothing is working

are u not able to get to the video tab once u have managed to open up the options? basically once you are in the options menu u should be on the multiplayer tab by default where you can change you player name. U should be able to drag the option window with your mouse by holding left click button while u drag the window. drag it until u are able to see the video tab, its the 5th tab on the options window. There is where you can change your resolution.hope that works
