"client timed out while answering challenge" msg

Just updated my internet service to 30 mbs and I am now getting this msg when trying to play the game. Anyone know how to do something to stop this?

Its a steam problem. all servers affected

Apparently, it's not just DoD. I checked support.steampowered.com and many, if not all, games are affected.

im having the same problem with cs too, its without a doubt a steam issue....

I'm running this game on mac & it works fine.
It's just when I play on my PC with Windows 8 I get that issue.

have no problem running it on my mac, seems like this only happens to pc users.
