Keep our community alive - Sign the petition.
Although I joined late in the fun back in 2009, I learned quickly that I would never forget the great time I had playing DOD. THis franchise has many different clans, and realism units that are always fun to play with. The sad part is our community is dwindling. Over the short period of 4 years the realism units have dwindled from dozens to maybe a dozen strong ones. I for one will not let this community die. I have recently discovered a petition that may not do anything, but it can let us believe in a slight chace they will listen to us. Only 100 more sigs are required to send it off to Valve so how about every signs it and hopes for the best. http://www.change.org/petitions/day-of-defeat-2 DOD FOR LIFE!

Yeah, I can't find any servers. Valve should do one of those free weekends for this game.

It really is sad to see the DoD community getting smaller and smaller... We try to play this game with my mates from time to time, and it still is as fun as it was almost 10 years ago. At least we'll always have the great memories...

Love this game, havent played in years. Just fired it up tonight out of nostalgia, still as good as it was 10 years ago. Signed it.

This in not that type of games in which Valve is good, atleast for now...
That would be totally crap if they do it on Source engine again (wait for the new one) without any new features. Nostalgia is good, but don't make konveer from it.

"Many people consider [DoD:Source] to be the best game ever created for e-sports."

DoD:S blows compared to 1.3. If they preserved the general gameplay features of 1.3 (every class gets a pistol, AND the original gun options - such as the K43, greasegun, BAYONET), then yeah, awesome.

I, for one, don't want to see another DoD:S remake. I want to see a 1.3 remake.
