DoD "update" leaves DoD unstartable

After this conversion, update, whatever there's no way left to even start the game. It crashes right at display of the first screen. I can't tell if it might be related to any changes in the graphics drivers as it doesn't even run long enough to make it to the settings or any other apllication menu. Start->Crash. Can someone please fire those java-educated wannabees that drive the "social-web"-fad today and return to actually having well-trained employees building products that work?

Got the same issue, the client.dll in hl>dod isnt recognised as a valid image.

Tried renaming and re validating both dod and half life, but he validation fails to see the missing file.

Funny you should mention that. THAT was DIRECTLY *BEFORE* all of these so-called "updates" and "upgrades" to all of the GoldSource games!

after the update i have ♥♥♥♥ graphics and game sometimes changes pixel colors to purple for like 2 sec and comes back to normal + flashlight almost dont work (maybe its my graphics settings but i did not change anything and i tried all sorts of combinations to get it back to how it was and nothing. ) DAMN YOU UPDATE
