Day of Defeat Zoomed in?

When I launch Day of defeat (or any game related, such as any half life game) it zooms in way to far. Any ideas? Again, this also happens with games like half life 1.

probably the resolution, change it in the options menu

Start in windowed mode, using the command -sw in launch options (i THINK). Then, after the game has launched (assuming it is still to big) you can click and drag the screen until you find the correct resolution type in the options menu.
