Windows 8

Anybody know if this works on windows 8 out of the box? If not, are compatability settings or (god forbid) an OS emulator required?

Windows 8 handles everything I throw at it. :) Answering late but figure others might have the same question.

Works here for me. Except that I had to fiddle with widescreen settings, but that's not specific to Windows 8.

I have to echo this comment. Win 8 seems far more compatible with all older software not just game than Vista & 7 ever was

Try verifying the game cache.

where do i see that ?

Right click on the game in your library, click on properties, then the tab the says local files. There will be a box there that says verify integrity of game cache. Click that and Steam will check for missing files.
