stuck on the tiles

i cant seem to get the tiles to join, they wouldnt let me do it when i went to pick to item up (like on the youtube guide) as for that i am stuck and cannot continue :(
please someone know what im doing wrong, i want to finish this game

I know I'm three years late with this, but for the benefit of anyone else having dramas, you right clock the tile piece so it's in your screen, then mouse up to the inventory and drop the other two on top. You have to add tile number 2 first before you can combine tile 1 and 3.
