Dual Core FIX for Legit Copies (here it is)
Hey guys,

The guys over at Ubisoft have decided to deny any gamer with a dual core processor, like a Pentium or Core 2 Duo etc. to play FC4 on their system. I felt very bad over this fact, since I bought the game and the season pass as well.

So after searching the internet I found one fix that worked.

http://steamcommunity.com/app/298110/discussions/0/624076027466432520/

But, this was a fix for pirated versions of the game. So after trying to find a fix for almost 3 weeks, I gave up; until yesterday. After going through the settings of Extreme Injector, I found an option that fixed the problem for me.

Here it is (Download is also in the link above):

1. Open Extreme Injector v3.
2. Go to Settings
3. There's an option pre-checked (tick mark) called "Auto-Inject". Deselect That.
4. Click Ok in the bottom-right corner or the Settings window.
5. (From here on you have to be quick)
6. Open the "FarCry4.exe" application and quickly turn to Extreme Injector v3
7. Keep hitting the now clickable "INJECT" button 4-5 times and keep clicking ok for the message confirming that it has been injected.
8. After doing this around 4-5 times. it'll start up like the pirated versions of the game.
9. Enjoy, and send me cake.

Oh, and you think that online doesn't work, believe me it works.

Steps 3-8 are just an addition to the regular steps(pirated version) needed to inject the legit game.

Enjoy,

PotatoJohn

EDIT: This is a very risky thing, since you are modifying the game files. You could have your account banned. Keep this in mind before you start the game, have your account banned and then demand an explanation for why it was done. If you're too scared to risk it, then it's time to buy a new PC.

Shut up and get off the internet you boob. If you're not going to help people work with the hardware they have than maybe you should just leave the topic alone instead of coming off as a moron.

I think the argument isn't valid in the first place. Quad Core CPU'shave gotten so much cheaper over the past 4 years. This guide was meant for those people who had Dual-Core CPU's and couldn't afford one. 4-core CPU's are much more easily available now; so I guess that was his point. Don't have to yell at him.

dude if your gaming on a 2 core CPU is 2018 ..your doing it wrong :steamfacepalm:
i mean even the X box 360 and PS4 have better then a dual core Processor

no game companies do not make games to run on 10 yr old TECH when they make a triple AAA game so sorry .. you need to move on and upgrade to keep up ..

and that has always been part of PC games ..ever since the 1980's Sir

if this is something your unwilling to do .. stick to a console ..but those also need to be upgraded ..to play new games ..

tech moves fowards .. not backward

and before you say this game sux .. remember FC 4 out sold FC3 in its first 3 months

OMG. This man need to be banned for flood. FarCry Primal runs fine without any kind of blackscreen/broken script events. FarCry4 works like a sh17. The first protected with Denuvo, the second is packed with VMProtect and completely broken. If you no nothing about reverse engineering and programming - shut up and go away. Any kind of compression/virtualization sucks additional resources. Any processor can process a bunch of code. The question is about how fast he is. Slower processor needs more time but this doesn't mean he can't do the job. x64 architecture comes with Core2Duo era in 2005 but x64 games exist for less than 8 years.

Yeah, pay respect to DummySoft for FarCry 3.2 like a blind fanboy.
==========================================================
Now about the game.
Engine allows to set thread count parameter through commandline arg:
" -threadcount=4"
Thread count depends on your cpu cores.
Even with overclocked Core2Quad this poopy crap game can't use more than 80-90% of processor timings so DummySoft designed his game to forcing your hardware upgrades and never cares about optimization. Processor checking code can be patched in memory.
And. If someone wants more fps - downgrade you gpu driver. It works like a charm.

Listen bro; this thread was made for overcoming the faults in FC4; you may have not had it; but hundreds of others did. Instead of posting about things like FC5 sales; try to be helpful.
-=SOF=-WID99 Apr 13, 2018 @ 5:03pm
how is it a a fault in the game when users fail to even meet the minimum system requirements .. hell you can run the game fine on on old I 3 that will set you back less then 100 bucks
https://ark.intel.com/products/53428/Intel-Core-i3-2130-Processor-3M-Cache-3_40-GHz

or even an old core 2 quad CPU .. the game launched and ran fine on my old Dell with an OLD intel core2 quad Q 6600 .. that CPU is down to less then 30 bucks

https://starmicroinc.net/intel-core-2-quad-q6600-2-4ghz-oem-cpu-sl9um-hh80562ph0568m/

your thred is useless ..as yea it deals with cracking the .exe of the game to run like crap on an out dated system that does not even meet the minimum system requirements .

how am i the fool here ??? the game runs fine on all my systems .. WHY ?\
i read system requirements BEFORE I BUY SOFTWARE ..and do research ..google is your freind ..use it and do CPU comparisions .. also it was known when the game shipped back in 2014 .. Dual Core CPU's could not launch the game

don't belive me ?..............see these two articles

see http://www.pcper.com/news/Processors/Far-Cry-4-Does-Not-Support-Dual-Core-Processors-Budget-Landscape-Shifting

and http://wccftech.com/death-gaming-dual-core/

UBISOFT NEVER HID THE FACT YOU NEEDED AT LEAST AN I 5 750 AS THAT WAS THE MIN SUPPORTED CPU WHEN THEY GAVE OUT SYSTEM REQIUREMENTS

YOU CAN FIND THAT INFO POSTED HERE ..AGAIN FROM 2014 BEFORE THE GAME SHIPPED ON PC GAMERS SITE ON
November 06, 2014

https://www.pcgamer.com/far-cry-4-system-requirements-revealed/

SO IF FOOLISH PEOPLE bought IT AND DO NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ..

sorry sir yes..... they need to upgrade their potato PC's

This thread was made in 2014. You are building your PC's now. Not everyone on earth has the budget to build even ONE PC, let alone 5. Your points are valid. This thread is just a fix for those who didnt have the money to buy a new CPU back in 2014. Seeing how cheap stuff as gotten in the past 4 years; I would recommend buying a 4-core today.

And to answer your point on MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: when Assasin's Creed Unity was annouced; system reqs needed a GTX 680; which was the third most expensive NVIDIA GPU during that time just under the GTX 690 and the GTX 780. Did everyone have a 680 then? NO. What would your advice to those people who had 750 tis and 660tis be; which at that time could run almost anything at medium or low; GET A NEW PC? LOL.
