Game crashes every time on level 4-3 fail

Hello. We are having the problem that on level 4-3 (group 4 and the third level across on the top row) every time we fail the level and Millie runs into itself the game throws a completely black screen and crashes. As the levels get quite difficult by this point and often require mutliple tries, having the game crash every time the level is failed is very frustrating.

Is there any way to fix this problem so we can finish the game? The game is running on 32bit Windows Vista if that is relevent.
