Cannot start the game (Arch Linux)
I am trying to start it, but I cannot get it to start.
I get no error message, but it generates an messages.log

I posted it here: http://pastebin.com/fufBhfW8

When I start it from the command line i get a segfault.

I am running Arch Linux x86_64 with Kernel
3.15.4-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jul 7 07:42:54 CEST 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux
on a Thinkpad T440s with an Nvidia GT730M and bumblebee/primus

The same happens when I run it with the Integrated Intel Graphics
I tried to disable the Steam Overlay but it does not help.

I hope someone can help me, as it seems that the Daedalic Forums are offline

Edit 15/07/2014: After the hotfix, i am now able to play the game :)

The same topic is being discussed in the Linux support thread, I still haven't heard of a linux user who could start the game...

Although i'd love to hear from one!

Send your logs and maybe a core dump (read through the start bash script in the game's local directory to learn how) to the support email adress mentioned in the pinned post on top of the forum.

Relax, I haven't yet seen a single report of the game running on linux. Maybe it runs only on Ubuntu or something...

It seems they havent even started this game once on Linux, makes me wonder what kind of QA-process they have.

Ubuntu 14.04 64bit doesn't run as well.

ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/#####/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored. Segmentation fault (core dumped)

developers, you should stick this or your own thread so people wont be mislead and buy it. it was a let down when i bought it and couldnt play it. Some official answer would be good as well, even if it is, we are looking into it.

btw, I sent the mail yesterday to support contact in sticky thread, no answers yet

Same error for me on Arch 64-bit. I poked around in the game files and there is a 64-bit executable and libraries in there. Just a guess but maybe the game is running as a 64-bit program and for some reason trying to load a 32-bit library?

I have tried to launch it with 64-bit binaries, ld.so error has disappeared but it keeps segfaulting anyway.
Looks like the problem is in game binary. It returns Segmentation fault even if you run it without Steam.
