Quizá tengas menos problemas de incompatibilidad, ahorrarias tiempo y tendrías mejores FPS en los juegos en general si simplemente te actualizas a Windows 8.1, es más simple que ir juego por juego que no tenga listado el XP (Que ahora es muy común) y ver los requisitos y hacer threads en los foros.

Hay algun problema en preguntar en los foros? no te entiendo. Para cambiar de SO tambien deberia de cambiar de PC y todo lo que conlleva incluido gasto extra de dinero. Ahorrar tiempo, quizas si no se tiene en cuenta las actualizaciones, reinstalaciones, etc. A mi la verdad me parece no lleva mucho tiempo ni quebradero de cabeza preguntar si es compatible el SO. Cada cual usa el SO que le parece y puede. No entiendo tu respuesta. Si sabes la respuesta la das y te lo agradezco. Pero postear para dar consejos sobre sistemas operativos esta fuera del tema del hilo. Si no te gusta mi hilo no lo leas, pero yo lo veo muy bonito :))

XP is no longer supported by Microsoft. so why would a developer support it :)

Una instalación del Windows 8.1 lleva entre 15 a 20 minutos, trabajo en reparación de PCs, no lo digo por decir. Instalar todos los programas que uses llevan entre 1 a 2 horas, dependiendo de cuantos tengas, y listo, no hay nada más que hacer, las actualizaciones y demases se hacen solas a medida que vayas usando la PC, por algo se llaman actualizaciones automáticas. Y no necesitas instalar drivers ni programas extras porque el W8.1 detecta que te falta en base a lo que necesitas o pedís y te lo instala, es super practico.

Por cierto, no necesitas cambiar de PC para el 8.1, con tu PC actual podes usarlo.

Esta fue mi pregunta en otro hilo, despues vino la respuesta del desarrollador y se acabo. Esta persona respondio a la pregunta y no hizo especulaciones ni comentarios banales. No lo soporta oficialmente pero se puede jugar. Nada más, el resto de comentarios son perdidad de tiempo

Most indie games will work on XP just fine, however you may get an occasional bug and there is no support for them, so most of the time if it does have gamebreaking bugs there is no fix.

Hi, i have both XP and Windows 7 in the same computer. 99% of my library run with XP, and when having problems, then 7.
With old games, Windows 8.1 will have more problems that 7.
And yes, a lot of system requeriments for games in steam don't show now support or compatibility for XP, but they usually run well.
Only if the game uses directX 10 or above, you are sure that it won't work in XP.

De todas formas, Ronin, el juego te pone como requerimiento mínimo una nvidia gforce 7600GT, y esas solo tienen hardware para directX 9. Es probable que funcione en XP, pero no te lo puedo asegurar.
Lo que si te aconsejo, porque yo estaba como tu continuamente calentandome la cabeza para ver si eran XP compatible, es hacerte o prepararte una particion para meterle un vista, 7, u 8 para esos juegos que usan directX por encima del 9 que tiene el XP. Y luego desde el mismo boot manager del windows puedes cargar el que quieras. Hay muchas guias que te pueden ayudar en internet.

Y no me extiendo más porque estarás quemado de las contestaciones que te dicen que te cambies de windows, que cambies de ordenador, y que si el xp es malo por ser antiguo y demás.

Gracias Nazaniel. Ahora que me ha cascado un HD y voy a instalar uno nuevo, he preguntado en el taller lo mismo que tu dices, el hacer particion y me han dicho que particiones de XP y otro SO puede dar problemas. Me comento que poner un 7 de 64 bits iria bien, pero todos los juegos que tengo me tiran en XP y empezar de nuevo me a repeluz. Vaya que por cambiar de SO por un juego me de la lata, no quiero ni pensarlo.

No me molestan los comentarios en la linea que tu haces, ni mucho menos, pero que se salgan del hilo para decir cosas que en lel fondo no resuelven y encima se salen del hilo.

Lo del boot managar te refieres al tema del arranque y elegir SO? , etc es que yo en Informatica estoy pegadillo :))
