I did like E5 and 7.62 though so I was hoping this game would be a bit more playable than those titles but it seems it's not
-Intro video and some other videos as well are clearly broken, slows down (lags) as Hrodger said in his post.
-First battle enemy was shooting me thru corner/wall with shotgun.
-Game UI is pretty awful, moving camera is like swimming in tar pit, even you hold shift and use options to speed it up. FOV is a way too limiting, it makes very hard to get picture what is going around even in same room.
-Translation of speeches are something truly horrible, either translator was drunk or it came directly from google, because sometimes it doesn't make any sense at all.
-graphic/resolution, not game breaking, but it is 2014, so generally you can expect a bit better than this.
-Mission where need place bombs give me troubles as thought I could place them without alerting enemy, but clearly not, I don't know if enemy is a psychic, but everytime I try place bomb they start yelling and battle starts, even I'm pretty sure they cannot see me, maybe I'm missing something?
I can not recommend game as it is now to anyone, it requires some level of masochism. I would not hold breath either that they would ever patch this (if dev reads, you are welcome to prove me wrong), I regret I bought it myself, even I knew it would be pretty horrible as it is now.
It's just one of these games that are now released on Steam with the "NEW RELEASE" stuff for no reason. There is a huge amount of these games atm.
Videos hang by the end of subtitles. Apparently there is a length mismatch between
subtitles and voice-over. Just hit ESC.
The first battle involves privates armed with Makarov PM 9mm pistols.
There is help available on the forums for this exact camera issue. I'm sure you're not bashing the game for the sake of it.
Now you're being foolish.
Your appreciation for what makes sense and what doesn't isn't shared by everyone. (shocking, I know)
It may be 2014, but the game was made in 2009.
Yes, you're missing the guy that sees you place the explosives. There's a second floor with patrols.
You don't seem to try as hard to like the game as you try to make others dislike it.
Mate, you talk complete and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I actually just finished the game, it wasn't bad as it did seem first, but lets be honest here, it has some serious issues. I can withdraw my statement not to recommend it to anyone, but only hardcore fans of genre.
I see alot of people referring to this game as broken, or bug-ridden, and that is, to my honest opinion, rather far from reality.
In my opinion, a broken game doesn't allow for its core mechanics to function properly, whereas core mechanics have been working very well for me.
