A lot of you might not know that the X-Series has always enjoyed a lot of support from modders. So far the mods were almost exclusively managed through the Egosoft forums. Since I released a rather popular mod, I decided to post it here as well to make people aware of the great modding community.

One of the things I don't like most about X Rebirth is the walking around stations. Therefore, I decided I'd do something about it. I hereby proudly present:

NESA - Never Enter Stations Again

The mod allows to talk to NPCs on stations from within your ship.

This mod is hosted on the X Rebirth Nexus.

Good mod, well worth using. At least I dont have to warp back into mid 90's graphics and animation and go hunting around a cookie cutter interior trying to find someone.

To DL from nexus you need to have nexus account, otherwise it returns an error.

I can access stations from anywhere within the zone? Because some stations give me a case of CTDitis, this mod might actually make the game playable...

In my newest version V0.4 (released a couple of hours ago) you can specify the range in which the game should look for stations. You can even search over sectors, or the whole galaxy, it's up to you how you configure it.

The station must be known to you though, which means you must have approached it at some point. If this is not possible for you, let me know, and I can tell you how to disable the known check.

doesen´t work at all for me. and i just installd it like i should... i put the folder in de extentions folder but it doesent work. my other mod´s work just fine

What exactly does not work? Does the menu entry not show up (which should never be the case)? Or is it greyed out with a message?

so sad that we need a mod to get rid of the biggest feature they advertised for thier game.

Now we have to hope that the modder is not from indonesisa, germany, or china. Next thing you know they have hacked into your amazon account and you have all these emails from pissed people wondering where their money is.

If I load this, can I still enter stations if I want to? I like to interview/small talk people to help me so I can see their stats before I hire someone. I can can still do this right? Dont like having to hire someone and not knowing what stats they have. So far my pilot is 4 stars, have a marine officer with 4 star leadership and 2 stars combat from doing the small talk.
