can't play OSX alpha - sad story with a game over

Played for an hour or so and pretty enjoyed the game, but when it came to the first fight - the game, or OS just swipes me to another workspace! I'm switching back to game, but the first time ship targeting an enemy it pulls me to desktop. It ended up with a game over, especially without a controller, And I understood that I've enjoyed the game so much, that I forgot to save it since the beginning(
