Windows 10 users, please share your user experience

Hai everybody here,

I have like a lot of people a technical preview of Windows 10 Pro. It started a few months ago to find out if all worked nice, and i was happy that build 9926 i had, worked excellent at that time. I could even let the pc sleep overnight and within 5 seconds it restarted and i could play on. That is because of the hardware i bought late october, i have a gigabyte ga-h81m-hd3 with an i7-4790 @3,60Ghz, and an Nvidia GeForce 970, 16 Gb memory and running a 256Gb SSD. But the hardware is not that interesting, it works like a charm, the problem started when Microsoft pushed without me even could interfere, and without i could save my savegames, a newer build, somewhere in the 10000- region, i had it too short to notice that. I re-installed X-Rebirth and wanted to play. At first it runs like there was nothing changed, but when i ALT-TAB to another thing i had to do and switched back, i heard the music but the screen of the game did not show. Trying for a while, i noticed that the process locked and did not respond; i had to kill the proces. Ongoing i tried the Dutch version downloaded from Microsoft's website and installed that, no use, the same problem, i even tried Windowed mode, it was not different, it locks and i can kill the process. Now i like playing X-rebirth, but when i find these kind of problems i turn not only to the drivers, but also to the community, and that is you.
Does anybody has the same experience in this? Please share, so we can tackle the problem. I hope...

So, no-one has Windows 10 hey? Don't believe it. I found an possible answer, and that is that Windows 10 was installed over Windows 7. The latest build required obviously a clean install thus wiping all Windows 7 traces of the harddrive, thus preventing X-Rebirth to work perfectly. I already gave various feedback to Microsoft, but you know just as i do that the bigger the company, the smaller it's ears are. Well, if there is still anyone who has a different opinion, come foreward.

X Rebirth ran well for me when I loaded windows 10, so did Albion Prelude, Terran Conflict and Reunion. I'm a streamer and somewhere along the line, something gave way and windows 10 crashes whenever I hit the windows button. This only happens when running X Rebirth. All my other games are fine.

Having said that Windows 10 is superb, everything loads quicker, graphics are better, and I like the layout of it all. Its just that one glitch, my webcam software is the latest version and so is my streaming client.

So, I'm sadly back on 8.1, cos I just love to stream X0Rebirth.

Running Windows 10 Pro, everything works fine except when you Alt-Tab out and switch back, sometimes the game freezes.

Running W10 Pro as well, XR, X3TC all good. Alt tab all fine. No problems at all.

Nice to hear from you all, i had several Nvidia updates over the past few months, and i must say that the system is becoming more stable as drivers and updates are getting the attention we need. I also have an i7 4790 on 3.6 Ghz and the GTX970 but only 16 Gb ram and ofcourse a SSD which runs so smooth and fast, it's hilarious that when i start my pc, i don't have time to get a cup of water 3 meters approx. from my pc. So, that i love very much. GTA 5 runs now smooth, Sims 4 in highest graphical mode, and nowadays i play a lot of minecraft on my server. So, happy here after all. Ps. My Windows key does nothing.... it's like it's not there....

Why not? Windows 10 is capable of using it, and the hibernation and sleep modes in Windows 10 are making full use of that memory. Happy to see that people still ask questions, because if we don't, we fall back in a dorment state...

Game playes great, with the exception of Alt+tab.

Roll Left and Roll Right stop functioning.
This may be due to the Win 10 USB drivers.
The only thing that I have found, that fixes this
for a short time is to restart the game.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers from the MOBO company, but even with driver updates turned off in windows 10, they still glitch over time. And have to be reinstalled over, and over, and over, and over, and over....

One other issue I cam across was the long range scanner not "pinging" . no visual, no "pings", etc. you get teh charging sound when pressing and holding the appropriate key, but nothing happens upon release.

That last remark was something i thought was part of the game.....

I think by now Windows 10 should work stable on all games, but all things i still do not understand is that why my windows key does nothing, it did in Windows 7, after upgrade it did not work, so i let them know, i think twice, but even with my email adres and the question of if they would like to contact me, i still got no response from the developing team of Microsoft.

My computer freezes when I try to exit X Rebirth. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't even help. I have to reset the whole computer. And this is a new computer so there is no excuse for this.
Other then that major problem my only issue was my ship bouncing around uncontrolably when I exit the hanger in the campagn.

Just installed today and bought home of light. Went to run game and it wont even start. It just comes up with that search box saying X-Rebirth has stopped working.
