Around midnight EST last night the server crashed, thus the slow speeds.
Typically we mirror the demo on moddb, but I haven't gotten around to doing this (the current demo is only a week old.)
As for the torrent, not many plays the demo anymore, I would be the only person to seed it. I only have a 1mb connection so.... :P
As for Steam Demo, I plan on doing that after I finish the mac port and a few other little things.
Anyhoo the server should be working fine after tech support reboots it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Harddrives are bad, we're waiting for the RAID to rebuild. :(
Sorry for the delay, completely out of my hands sadly. :|
Aside from one initial, weird crash everything is working smoothly so I'll definitely be picking this up soon. Thanks, and good luck!
If you just downloaded the game, you're on a ~6 month old version that had a couple of bugs that could cause a crash. I really recommend waiting a few hours then downloading the 1.20 Demo I release. :)
I'll update the links in this thread as soon as I'm done with this post.
Click the color you want, click the part of the vehicle you want to paint. Do not click anything in between or you will cancel out the paint color.
Nothing has changed in the vehicle designer. We will be getting predesigned vehicles once the artwork is completed for those who do not like using the designer. No major changes will be coming to the designer unless we get a massive amount of post release funding to redo all the artwork properly. Which probably won't happen.
Your video card has issues with shadows on high or higher. Change them to none, low, or lower.
If you're on OpenGL switch to DirectX (Windows.)
Actually the tutorial didn't stop, you just didn't click the "Continue" button on the final tutorial window in RnD, which means the next part of the tutorial was not triggered. You must click every "continue" button on the tutorial, or it will not work properly. The tutorials will be rewritten when the game is completed.
Next step was to simulate until he vehicle was done being designed. Then go to the world map, set production at the factory, assign the vehicle for sale at the distribution and then go from there.
I also believe they'll be on Steam this version.
