Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok

Heroine's Quest: The Herald of Ragnarok

Zoobreek Jun 29, 2014 @ 1:53pm
Dirty Rotten Scoundrel achievement
Did anyone manage to get this?
I have no idea what to do to lower my honor any more than I managed so far.

Best I did was on my Hurried Heroine run playing as a rogue.
Did not finish ANY sidequest whatsoever.
Pickpocketed EVERYONE.
Stole EVERYTHING I could, Including both Eyes of Thiassi.

Basically, I just rushed through the main story and managed to finish the game in 5 in-game days or so.

My final honor score was still 35% (rank of Dishonest).

I don't get it how I could ever get below 10%.

Any help?

Ruin the relationship between Liff and Lithrasir and orther ebil deals

Thanks for your comment!

However, I did tell Liff that Lithrasir didn't want his flowers. Any other ideas? :)

I didn't try this yet but some things that should also reduce honor-
Dialog choices that make you a liar or rude. For example, lie about your profession when introducing yourself.
Create the armor and then refuse Andvari's request that you boast about it in taverns OR promise and then don't do it. I don't know which of these reduce honor more.
Start the Liff/Lithrasir quest and then ruin their relationship like Warlock said.
Maybe trigger the battle of Munarvagir and then sneak out of the town and don't do anything to help?
Steal the key to Helgi grave and rob his grave.
Check out the Warrior 500 Walkthrough by tweak, wherever it says HONOR, try to do the opposite of what it says.

Let us know how it turns out, there's no complete guide to get this achievement or the 100 honor one yet.

Thanks, some good pointers there.

While I did do some of the things you suggested (lying, making fun of people, ruining Liff & Lithrasir's relationship, robbing Helgi's grave), there might still be a few things to try.

When I get some more playtime next week, I'll see if I can try out the Battle of Munavargir scenario.
Also, I didn't try getting the Dragonscale armor from Andvari at all on my last run.

I wonder which sidequests GIVE honor if you complete them; this is why I usually hate hidden stats. If it was visible at least we could test which actions add to it/deduct from it.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the inputs so far.

;)

I totally agree about hidden stats being annoying, I played the game doing everything I thought was honorable and ended with a frustrating 99 score. I have no idea how to get that one missing point, for all I know it's something I did wrong early game and I'm certainly not going to waste hours trying to figure it out...

Iris, if you want, send your final save game to me - fizzii_ish@yahoo.com - and I'll get Radiant to look at it and see what's missing.

Personally, I tested this game so many times prior to release, and I never ever got a 100 score, let alone 100 honor! I was always missing something :P

That would be great! I'll take you up on that offer.

Hi there! I've looked over the saved game that Fizzii sent to me, and in your case the point you're missing is reacting in good sport when you give Snorri the gem and he reveals it is not in fact a heirloom. HTH!

Thanks so much! I did give him the stone and did not make a fuss but I guess I didn't pick the best answer. I hope I can recreate my score again and get 100 this time...
This is probably by far the hardest achievement to get since doing almost any kind of quest actually grants honor, which is what should be avoided like the plague if you want to get as low as 10.

The 2nd hardest is probably Loki's trickster since it seems to be bugged even after doing everything I was supposed to, for me at least.

PS: As for the 100 honor, I'd still like to question someone who got it, what he said when talking to Jarl and the Norns. The correct answer is very doubtful on those.

I followed the guide so I'm almost certain I chose the Warrior option with the Jarl and the aspirant heroine with the Norns (I'm 100% sure for the Jarl, 95% sure for the Norns).

Clocked a run at 21%. Reaching for this achievement is making me feel like a horrible human being...

Huh... you still got 21% even when you tried your best to get 10%? I have a feeling we're missing something important. Have you tried pick pocketing every single character in the game?

Most of them several times. I even stole an apple from Heime...

I kept separate saves from all chapters, but I left most quests completely untouched till Chapter 3 so I could over what is honorable and what is not before stealing the Eyes. If I ever get the right(wrong?) order of things I may consider doing a guide of these notes that are piling up next to the keyboard.

Example: stealing the bracelet from Eitri is a part of the B&Es, so it's dishonorable, but using the bracelet to win Snorri's challenge is not; even though you're cheating, you're completing a quest that amps your honor with the citizens.

Completely unrelated note: mad props for all the easter eggs in this game. I keep finding them EVERYWHERE, even after playing the game with all three characters at least once. Paypal on your way, ladies and gents. It's a crime to play this game for free.

Please do that! It's just weird there's a whole 11% missing, there is only so much that can be done in the game.
