Help, the game chrashes.

It crashes at the moment is starts, it doesn't even start. No messages nor anything.

I'm using Windows 8 and Steam, I've tried running it with compatibility with Windows 7, and XP service pack 2 and 3, even with Vista.
I've re-installed the game and verified the game cache.

Any other ideas on how to solve it?
