Starting the game. Police Station Game over. Normal Mode.

I've had this game for a long time, but not much time to play it when I got it. About a week ago I started playing it again. It left of at the Quest where I have to sneak into the police station.
I found 2 different ways to enter the station. And 1 I could try with cloak.
At the start of the game I upgraded some armor specs to survive the shoot outs.
Now I don't have cloak to get through the police station.
I have tranquilizer darts, but no gun.
When I finally finished with the quest where I had to get the data implant from the enemy hacker. The police were waiting outside with riot shields and assault rifles, and I didn't have a chance.

I knocked out the first few cops. But then I thought, if I killed them it would be easier to escape.
If I only knock them out, do the cops still shoot me when I go outside of the police station?

I think if you get discovered at all they'll be after you, unless you convince the guard at the front to let you in.

Is there a way to reset my skill points?

Not without cheating. If you're having trouble convincing the guard, there is a hidden way into the police station too.

I found the sewer entrance and the way through the roof. But as soon as they see me. I get hostility.

I disagree with the above post. You need to persuade Mr. Haas at the front desk to let you in for achievement. In fact, becoming familiar with how to make the right choices in how to respond correctly is critical to getting a number of other achievements.

If you sneak in, it becomes much more difficult to evade suspicion about why you are there, particularly if word got around that you were involved in an earlier shooting.

Take my advice: become adept at persuasive skills. It will make the game more enjoyable, and, of course, you'll get the proper achievements...

Also it sounds like you're trying to Rambo your way through the station instead of sneaking. Even if you get in through the sewer or the roof, you shouldn't end up in a shootout unless you started one yourself. If you're ever spotted, you can just bail into a vent or back out of the building altogether, and the alerts will be reset.

If you're facing riot cops upon exiting the mourge, that means you triggered an alert before you entered, and never bothered to fix that situation before proceeding.

There are 3 total entrances to the police station that will get you to the different levels you need to find for the quests (sewers -> basement, 2nd floor fire escape door, roof air vent). If you fail to persuade Haas (or don't want to) then you need to be patient and keep an eye both on the patrol routes and camera patterns. You should be able to take out all patrols without being caught by just observing - the 'hardest' area is the 2nd floor with Captain Penns office (the cops on the first floor can see you if you aren't careful and quick to get into the vent). The 3rd floor is quite easy once you take down the guard by the access point the air vent puts you at (he has the codes for all the doors, you just need one code). A good hack skill (at least level 3 capture) will allow you to disable the laser systems in the vents allowing for much greater flexibility (and access to the P.E.P. gun)

The key is to NOT KILL anybody and not let any alert go above 'Alarmed' (if possible take out any alarmed guards before they get fully alerted)
