So, are those butchered, like the Steam version of Dracula 1-3?

So, are those butchered, like the Steam version of Dracula 1-3? It bothered me A LOT when I bought Dracula 1, 2 and 3 only to find out that they are missing many scenes, had many puzzles removed or simplified, and look a lot worse than the original versions. I really felt ripped off, and I actually am worried about 4 and 5......
