I'm even older, when I played this for the first time it was some kind of a revolution, a glimpse of what the future gaming experience would look like.... compared to my first games ever on ZX81, C64 and other pre-industrial age hardware..

Played this back in highschool in the computer lab. We would have multiplayer lan battles back then.

heck i might just buy this game for its music that i still love nowadays ! A GREAT GREAT classic !
The second episode was cool too but the third one went a lil on the loony side imo...

I wonder if they remixed the music of descent, i agree on the third one, when you could go outside "openworld" lol but i couldnt finish it there was some glitch bug i stuck next to a shuttle or something the very first time when you go outside.

Yeah well, Descent II was one of my early PC games. I was somewhat "late" as I went through a homebrew system and two Amigas until I got my first PC -- so I even had a 3D accelerator, an "XPert@Work" with a whopping 8MB SGRAM -- but Descent II still looked great.

I also remember that I ran the game for a few minutes, then quit and went to a Vobis store (at the time, that was a somewhat major PC retailer in germany) to get a joystick :-)

I remember having this for the PS1. Man, what a great game it was. Loved it. Link up was great if I remember correctly

Nah it is a word play thing saying "sayin" you know. Yeah i have a hard time remembering too on what platform i played dos or windows. Back then it wasnt really a thing like now with the consols and ports and what not. There was pc mouse keyboard jostick done go. tho i only used joystick on C64 or older machines.
I remember i went ocd on the lazors and felt pretty bad when i lost it cuz of a death :(
Funny I never had the urge to play any modern games that are similar like the Minerwars or that inside computer thing. I guess descent feeling still strong in me and no need for replacement.
