Nvidia is working on a fix. The issue is with all of the 35.x drivers. You should install driver 348.77 even if you are on windows 10. I use windows 10 and downloaded windows 8 347.88 and it stops the issue.
For windows 10 users, you need to use the tool provided by MS to hide the auto-update.

Its a good driver and works well with Painter. Nvidia is working on a fix for the current drivers.
Reverting the driver is not really an option for me.
Could you give us some insights about what SubPainter is doing to cause this crash while every other 3D/Painting tool seems to work fine on the newer drivers?
Are there other work around?
Using only one material/color per layer (and lots of saving) makes it a lot more stable.
I'm very sorry, I know this is a real pain to use the older driver. I will check to see what the status is. We are in discussion with nvidia and nvidia has reproduced the problem. At this point, we are waiting on them to release the fix.
I'll post as soon as I get more info. I'm looking for the new driver everyday myself as I'm on windows 10 as well.
Cheers,
Wes
Very happy to say the new NVidia driver is now available and fixes the problem. The driver version is 355.98.

Wes
