Rain?

so my second play through with ginger I found a field with the girl in the red dress. Which resulted in the rain and me waking up on the path.

Is rain significant? I don't yet have all the items but the rain prevents me from exploring. Does this mean I've made a mistake? or simply one of many outcomes?

From screen shots I gather Rain occurs on different girl's playthroughs as well.

You met the wolf for that particular girl. The general consensus for the 'waking up' in the rainy/gray road is that you're dead (which is good ).

If you missed finding out any items that were specific for that girl only, you'll get another chance after all the girls meet the wolf.

Actually I woke up in the rain twice. Once, after meeting the girl in the red dress, and then when I met this... entity... on the lake. The ending of the latter was quite gruesome, but I won't spoil it :-)

This game is confusing and creepy. I apparently met the wolf for the girl with the prostethic leg, before that I only found one item. The secret room was terrifying.

Every girl has her own personal Wolf, which relates to her personality.

I liked this game and finished it, but it left me with mixed feelings. In order to experience each girl's story, each girl must meet the wolf. I found the game disturbing. It's a very in-depth game.
I had a lot of rain. Not only with being left on the rainng path to grandma's, but there were other times in the game while in the forest when it would rain.

That means you finished the level. All you need to do is go into the house in front of you.
