Heat Sig is a pretty sick roguelike that feels like a mashup of hotline miami and the basic design philosophy of an immersive sim. Though it is an awkward habit to build, this is enabled by the fact that you can pause and very carefully think about your next move. Rather than traditional roguelikes that see numbers go up as you get levels, Heat Sig is a little less linear. Instead, you unlock gadgets that let you teleport or disable shields or slow down time. Every enemy is essentially a one hit kill, but you need to factor in timing of your weapons, synergy with gadgets, and enemy behavior before you run into a room and kill everyone in it. Stringing it all together feels very satisfying, even if the game is a little grindy and unforgiving at the higher level missions.
