Just because the beta version is still available in the beta tab doesnt mean its newer than the standard version.
You should opt out of any betas in the beta tab and then you will be on the latest version.
Can be misleading. Usually a beta branch will be updated with a normal release when it comes out - then it gets further updated. It wouldn't really make sense not to include normal releases when there are no further advanced updates. However, sometimes this might not be the case, because the beta branch is abandoned instead, and for some reason it isn't realized your game should update further.
Also, it doesn't answer:
Which I have no knowledge of, about whether there is an incomplete patch to the game. The most likely answer is that at this point the latest version is outside of beta, but loading the beta *should* load it anyway, assuming it can figure out priorities.
